Hat Fair Carnival

Hat Fair Carnival

The carnival route starts at The Great Hall (next to The Westgate) and finishes at Abbey Gardens.

Hat Fair Carnival will open this year’s festival, with a fabulous display of costumes made by local schools with the theme of ‘Fabulous’.

We’ve teamed up with The New Carnival Company a pioneering arts development organisation, based on the Isle of Wight, specialising in carnival and outdoor public celebrations.

The parade begins at The Great Hall and continues down the High Street towards Abbey Gardens.

Ghost Caribou by Thingumajig Theatre, Blue Apple and Out of Bounds will be accompanying the children.

This year’s Carnival features the following schools and their ‘Fabulous’ themes…
Cherbourg Primary School (Theme: Wildlife)
Cherbourg Primary School (Theme: Greenlands)
Kings’ School Winchester (Theme: Stain glass windows)
