FAQ

Why is the festival ticketed, I thought it was free?
Hat Fair festival has previously been free to attend, it originated as a Busker’s festival with audiences traditionally throwing money in to a hat after a hatters performance. However due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, this year's festival has changed format in order to restrict numbers and limit crowds.

Rather than audiences throwing money (and potentially germs) in to a hat, hatters will be paid a fee from the ticket money raised.

Are there any age restrictions?
Hat Fair is a family-friendly festival that welcomes all ages.

Do children under 2 need a ticket?
Children under 24 months (babe in arms) do not require a ticket and can attend the festival for free.

Will there be food and drink stalls?
Yes, there will be a small number of food stalls and a bar at North Walls Recreation Ground. WSA Car Park will also have a bar.

Are the venues/locations accessible?
For those with additional access needs there will be an accessible viewing area at the front of each stage area.

An allocation of tickets will be held back for Wheelchair users, additional tickets can be purchased at 50% discount for an essential companion accompanying a wheelchair user. If you require these places please call Box Office on 01962 840 440 as currently these cannot be booked online.

For more access information please visit Hat Fair 2021 Access Info

Can I bring my dog?
Well behaved dogs are most welcome at Hat Fair but must be kept on the lead at all times.

What happens if the festival can not go ahead?
If for any reason the festival is cancelled you will be eligible for a full ticket refund.

  • paperless e-tickets available

The festival is entirely outdoors, however face coverings are encouraged.

Please do not attend if you:
