Hat Fair Fringe

Hat Fair Fringe 2017

Hat Fair Fringe Festival is back!

Are you a student or graduate?
Want to showcase experimental performance work?

Whether it be Dance, Drama, Street Arts, Puppetry, Musical Theatre, Installation and so on, we would love to hear about your current projects.

We are looking for engaging performers from different artistic backgrounds to perform at this year’s Hat Fair Fringe.

The Fringe will be happening alongside the main festival, taking place at The Brooks Shopping Centre on Friday 30 June & Saturday 1 July 2017.

This is an exciting opportunity to create, learn, build skills and to be a part of the Hat Fair – the UK’s longest running outdoor arts festival, based in Winchester city centre.

By performing at the Fringe, you will:
Network with other performers from the local area.
– Receive a small bursary to support production costs.
– Perform to various audiences.
– Opportunities to participate in free daily professional development workshops.
– The chance to see the international programme of outdoor shows at Hat Fair 2017

How do I get involved?

To apply, email the Fringe Producers, Becky Jones and Cherry Lambert, at fringe@hatfair.co.uk.

Please include the following:
– Photos/videos of your performance piece.
– A summary of your performance (maximum 350 words).
– A contact phone number and email address.

Closing date: Friday 26 May 2017 1pm

In order to be eligible you and all members of your company must be available to perform a show of up to 30 minutes in length or a 10 – 20 minute walkabout act to a public audience on 30 June and 1 July 2017.

If selected, Fringe participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation in Winchester and be willing to participate in Hat Fair’s Morning Clubbing (Fri 30 June & Sat 1 July 9am – 10am at The Brooks Shopping).

Closing date: Friday 26 May 2017 1pm
